Oblique cross
Oblique cross in heraldry is known as "saltir" and in form resembles the letter "X", the first letter of the writing of the name Christ in Greek. Also known as crux decussata (from an image of Roman figures 10). The Cross symbolizes the different saints, depending on their color: gold - St. Alban (the first great martyr UK), blue or white - St. Andrew, black - St. Osmunda, red - St. Patrick's.
